General Overview

Aim to keep your CV to two pages if possible. However, of course there are times when this is not possible but the format below will, we hope, assist in making the most of your experience.

(Don’t forget to use good quality paper!)

  • Up to date Personal Details: Your name, address, date of birth, contact telephone numbers, email address & an up to date jpeg picture of yourself - especially if you are applying for overseas roles.
  • A personal profile: which includes an overview of your skills.
  • Work Experience: for every position in the last 10 years. A brief paragraph on the type of company you work for, website address, whether it is it part of a group, star rating & rosettes if a venue or hotel, conference facilities, no of bedrooms, type of restaurants and number of covers. Turnover/Occupancy/Profit.
  • Daily Duties: keep this to approximately 6 bullet points.
  • Key Achievements: see below for each specific areas of information our clients would expect to see.
  • Education, Professional Qualifications, Attached Career Courses.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Interests.

Event Management

  • A portfolio of the type of events you have managed. This will give our clients a real insight to the level of events you deal with. Please attach this on a separate A4 sheet at the end of your CV.
